overview

"Design an interface that leverages real-world context to support communities via mobile devices."

This focus statement guided the user research, design, and prototyping of the 2009 Nokia Capstone Project, as conducted by the Masters of Human-Computer Interaction student team at Carnegie Mellon University. In this website, we share the processes, findings, and final designs that emerged from our project.

Our final product, called Posti, is a new community- and context-driven system that allows people to post messages in their current locations. Posts can be shared with individuals, communities, and the general public, and may be visible from everywhere. The world is ready for a system that brings real-world communities into the mobile sphere, and Posti is just the beginning. For more information, view our Final Report.
